Music is the heart and soul of a spirit filled worship session here at Lebanon! Songs of adoration and praise can be heard each week as the Holy Spirit descends and mingles with those who would receive. These songs are usually led by one of three choirs, the praise team, or a host of musicians, both of song and of instrumentation.

The Ambassadors for Christ, our childrens choir, is led by Sis Debra Mahoney and accompanied by Bro Terrence Dove. As they move up in age they move on to sing with Divine Praise, our youth choir. Sis Debra Mahoney very capably directs this choir and Bro Terrence Dove is the Master Pianist. God has blessed both of these individuals and they render their services back to him.

Divine Praise has been together for the past 15 years and show no signs of letting up! They have ministered in various churches, and various venues all over the United States. Capably led by Sis Debbie Mahoney, they have touched the hearts and lives of many.

The Sanctuary Choir directed by Sis Sheila Mahoney and accompanied by Albert Rahming. Sis Sheila Mahoney also serves as the church Music Coordinator.

With a praise team, and a host of soloists, it is no wonder then that we ..."ENTER INTO HIS GATES WITH THANKSGIVING, AND INTO HIS COURTS WITH PRAISE" PSALMS.100:4

Adventist Youth Society
The Adventist Youth Society is the action and fellowship organization for the youth here at Lebanon Seventh-day Adventist Church. Under the direction of the AYS Council, young people work together to plan activities that will foster growth and development of the spiritual, mental, and physical. It is the goal our Adventist Youth Society to involve all young people in meaningful activities which will allow them to grow closer to Christ and train them for useful service.

Our programs are held every Sabbath afternoon at 5:00 PM at our church. Even though our programs are geared for the youth, we welcome people of all ages.

Family Ministries strikes at the very heart of this Church, authenticating all we claim to do for Christ. It is the building blocks that create the very foundation upon which we rest. The family of GOD;The FATHER, The SON, AND The HOLY SPIRIT, all parts of one strong unit, is the model we use to build his family here on earth.
                        
Family Ministries is designed to strengthen, and bolster the family unit. Doing what we can to make the families of the church strong and whole! This takes place in many ways, sometimes in the way of counseling, or informational programs, or retreats that are designed to nurture and strengthen each member! Be it the Singles Ministries holding a Lua, or the Womens Ministries Sunday morning prayer breakfast, or the Mens Ministries Friday night Prayer and Praise service, there is always an opportunity to serve God while speaking to the needs of HIS Family members.

A typical year in Family Ministries programming involves many regional workshops around the Conference, generally conducted during the first quarter of the year. These regional workshops provide the opportunity to outline our goals for the year, and offer special training particularly for the new Family Ministries Coordinators.

The major goal of the Northeastern Conference Personal Ministries Department is to train, equip and involve the laity in the united effort of finishing the work of God in this part of the vineyard.

The purpose of Community Services Mission is to serve the poor and hurting in the name of Christ. This mission is a need oriented service, and concentrates its efforts in community based social services, disaster response, inner city work, health screening, family life and health education, social problems such as unemployment and literacy.

Through humanitarian acts we make known the just, merciful, and loving character of God. To work with those in need is an expression of our love for God. The compassionate ministry of Jesus is its own abundant motive and reward.

This Church mission is to reflect the character of God through humanitarian activities. Provide assistance in situation of crisis or long-term distress and work towards the development of long-term solution with those affected. Facilitate the right and ability of children to attain their full potential and assist in assuring each child’s survival to achieve that potential.

THE BIBLE BASIS FOR THIS MISSION:

Our responsibility as believers is very clear “Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.” (Isaiah 1:17)

“Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppresses go free, and that ye break every yoke?

Is it not to deal the bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? When thou seest the naked, that thou cover him.” (Isaiah 57: 6-7).

Christ showed the continued relevance of the messages in Isaiah by quoting the prophet in support of His special ministry (Luke 4: 18-19). Christ had a particular concern for those in the most vulnerable parts of society: the poor, the deprived, the disabled, and the sick. Christ wants the believers, the Church, to help those in need. (Matthew 25: 31-46) outlines what Christ desires of those who follows and believe in Him. The Bible views it as natural that the love that God has for humanity be reflected by the community of believers.

“If a man has enough to live on, and yet when he sees another in need shuts up his heart against that person, how dwelleth the love of God in him (1ST John 3: 17), The Christian responsibility, was demonstrated in the example of the early Church (Acts 4: 34-35) This community of believers saw its task as also including assistance and care for those in need. “The Church is called both to be a witness and a servant (Galatians 5:6,13) Serve one another in love”

God expressed His desire for all in these words, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in good health, even as thy soul prospereth."

The ministry of healing is not limited to the physical, but also to the mind and soul. It is the mission of the Health Department at the Lebanon Seventh Day Adventist Church to bring awareness of God's healing ministry through health education: proper diet, free from consumption of flesh foods, a proper balance of both physical and mental stimulation--realizing the intellect and moral development will be positively affected in order to better serve the Lord.

The Health Department along with the Community Service and Personal Ministries departments work together to promote a continuum of care on all levels. Our Health Department is comprised of physicans (specializing in geriatric & internal medicine, pediatrics, and dentistry), psychologist, nurses, health educators, home health, social work, medical law, as well as a myriad of other allied health care professionals. "They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

"The Office of the Church Clerk holds the burden of the proper administration of the church. The clerk in performing her duty becomes the Custodian of very important church records. The pivotal role of the church clerk is preserving the history of the church. The clerk records how the church was formed, when it was organized, how it conducts its business and the changes that occur in the local church from time to time. The church Clerk is also responsible for the accurate writing and filing of the minutes of the Church Board and Church Business Meetings. [Some of the services performed by the Clerk’s Office for the local church are:]

• To keep accurate minutes of the official meetings of the church
• To keep an up-to-date registry of all church members
• To process all membership transfers and all changes in membership status
• To communicate all official actions of the Board and the Church
• To render reports to the church and the conference
